In Order To Recover

Updated: November 22, 2024

1 Samuel 30:8 And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

Facing adversity helps us to learn who we are as people. The first step in recovery is to learn how to encourage ourselves in the Lord. When everything seems to be against us, we need to get into the word & remind ourselves of the promises of God that are over our lives. He comes to the aid of people who are obedient to his word. Nothing is impossible for God. He knows exactly what we go through & how to work a situation out to give us victory over it.

All God has to do is speak a word to us to start the recovery process. Receiving one direction from the Lord gives us hope that what we have lost will be recovered. A major part of recovery is realizing we are the problem because we start to take responsibility for the choices we made that created our current hardship. When we put fourth effort in the recovery process, God will continue to give us directions to show us we are doing things right & are headed down the path to recover all.
