Lights and Sounds

James 1:17 (KJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Being a part of the church and under the spiritual authority of a man of God is an essential part of living a life of truth as a child of God. As we hear the preached word, our understanding of it is increased. The ministry sounds the alarm for us by making us aware of who the enemy is and how to fight it. The greatest enemy we battle against is the carnal nature in us that does not want to please God. His word shows us how to overcome the negative influences of our flesh.

When we apply it to daily life, it changes our hearts and allows us to grow into the people we were meant to be in Christ. Jesus Christ was the light that came down to us to reveal the spirits in our hearts that bind us. He sounded the alarm against the enemy and showed us how to conquer it for ourselves on the cross. Some of the weapons we fight the enemy with are prayer, fasting, studying the word and offering praise and worship to God.
