Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Time started when the days of creation began. The Lord is not subject to the boundaries of time like we are. He created the laws of nature for mankind to follow. The consistency of God gives us something to measure by and trust. The word of God is our measuring tool for every situation we face in life. It helps us to navigate through each one properly. Standing the test of time means to endure until the end of our spiritual race of living for the Lord. Our trials and how we handle them will measure us.
The way we spend our time tells what our priorities are. God knows he is changing us when he can change our schedules. When the Lord becomes the first priority in our lives, he also has our hearts. Being converted makes living for God a lifestyle. Giving time to God in prayer in the morning will cause him to orchestrate the rest of our time throughout the day. He will guide our steps, be our protector, be a source of strength, provide comfort and anything else we need. If we do not use our measurement of time to draw closer to God and get to know him on a personal level, we will not make it to eternity, which has no end.
Sermon preached by Pastor J. Davidson and summarized by Sister Ginger Styers.
